It was within
the eye of a storm
so large that
it could seem
deceptively calm
for up to
2 hours.
Several people
Having fled
their homes
took refuge
inside
a commercial property.
Although
calm outside,
inside
some trouble
occurred.
A grey- haired
couple found
themselves in disagreement
with a Dr
whose office
was in the building.
Witnesses report
That after a harsh exchange,
the Dr.
shoved the
wife, knocking
her into a glass
display case.
The husband, gallant
to her defense
declared “hey,
don’t you touch my wife!”
At this point
the Dr.
who happened to also
be a trainer
of some rather
vicious dogs
ordered the dogs
who were present,
to attack the husband.
Some other people were
also attacked
but the husband,
got it real bad.
And the worse part
was that even though
they somehow
ceased hostilities,
the husband had to
remain, badly injured
in the building
for 2 more days
once the storm resumed
and the authorities
were busy with
flooding
and power outages.
The poor Dr. who
must have gone mad
temporarily
due to the storm
was of course arrested
and charged
and likely
lost his license.
He was a therapist
you see
and there
in that building
where several people
had sought shelter
from the hurricane
he had built
quite a successful
specialty practice
teaching classes
in
anger management.
