Zen, and the Art of Getting Tips

   ...........At the door,
                  large pie in hand
                  and when the dude
                  	opens up,
                  he is taken aback by
                  the sight of me,
                  living large and soaking wet.

                  He says;
                  “hey man, don’t it suck,
                  delivering pizza in the rain?”

                  I respond;
                  “Not really, it’s a Zen thing.
                  once you accept the rain
                  and stop: struggling with the wetness,
                  it ceases to be a negative
                  and becomes simply a state of being.
                  You see, when I achieve these states
                  of moment to moment magic,
                  its as though I am dancing
                  through the raindrops
                  as I go.”

                  Astounded, he says;
                  “Wow dude,
                  that was incredibly deep
                  here’s a five spot.”

                  As he closes the door
                  I shuffle off,
                  clutching my new fiver
                  thinking
                  “Yea,
                  I’m just incredibly clever that way.”
